Homemade Christmas part deux

As I was unpacking the car I remembered three more homemade presents.

Belt my dad made for Dave.

Relish my "step mom" made Dave. ( what do you call someone who is more than your dad's girlfriend but not married)

Two flavors of Chex from my Mother in law.

What did Santa or your holiday bring you?

Are you interested in the other stuff we exchanged. Some is neat and almost all functional! Almost ;)

I love your homemade Christmas. It really reflects thoughtfulness and caring, IMO. The best was the sampler Dave made, though. Just super awesome.

Re: what to call your dad's girlfriend, "my dad's lady friend" is an olde-fashioned way to describe her.
I too love your homemade Christmas.

I call my mom's boyfriend of three years who practically lives with her and is family to us as "her Morgan." (his name is Morgan BTW, I didn't just give him some random name for a term of endearment). He seems to like that, and I guess it makes him seem more special than random dude who takes her to Ruby Tuesday's and bonks her. Emerson calls him Uncle Morgan, but that could get a little weird in groups of people who don't know my fam...

I think it's so great that you exchanged homemade gifts. In my family Christmas left me feeling a little uneasy about the amount of stuff we acquired. I love everything but we have a small place and it is getting to be really cluttered with so much stuff. Maybe next year I can suggest the hand made route.

bridgett we didn't all talk about it, it just happened like that. But we did tell people before we don't need "STUFF" we've lived on our own for 15 years now we have enough stuff to fill our home.
