It's getting harder and harder to find a place to take pictures. I'm ready for spring temps and moving outside again if possible.
Sweater NY&co
Shirt, cami and earrings h&m
Pants Gap
Boots gift from mom. I think from a western store they're real cowboy boots as opposed to some fashion ones I have owned.
Ring and nails
Makeup
For makeup I did a blue eyewing and a soft layer of white shadow. Peach blush and a nudie lip color. I have been on the hunt for a MLBB (I just learned that lingo on makeup alley. My lips but better) I don't have a ton of pigment in my lips but I'd like a nice "neutral" lips for days I want to feature other features so to speak. I had seen this pictures of Joanie and been wanting to check our this lipstick they mentioned.
I have no delusions that any amount of lipstick will make me look like that but it was worth checking it out. They recommend Beige Felin by Chanel. They don't say that is what she is wearing but they suggest it for the look. Beige Felin looks nothing like that photo in real life. It was very brown and not at all attractive. But my lovely makeup girl helped me find what we interpreted as it. We settled on Jersey Rose #77. We did pretty good I'd say. It looks like the one in the photo of her and the lipstick on it's own. My lovely Chanel lady told me something I'd king suspected. The makeup used in photos isn't always what they list. They will have to "feature" a brand on oh say America's top model but in reality it isn't what they used. They do what looks good for the image. I'm just wearing a quick swipe of it here but it's the perfect color to apply without needing a mirror. (When I wear red it requires a mirror for touch up and to check for migrating)
I've seen a few blog posts about Japan and also how can people blog and not address it and how awful of them for that. I saw a comment say something to the effect that just because it isn't mentioned doesn't mean that the blogger isn't effected or not care. I totally care. I do my bit quietly and don't always find I need to blog about the bad. We know it going on and it's horrific. As you know last year I had a lot of loss. I lost 6 people in my family. Days it felt like I'd never feel real again. But other days I laughed and was happy but it was never far away from the front of my thoughts. Know what I mean? It will always effect me but sometimes you don't need to talk about it. Other you do.
On that note and living life, how are you? How is your week?
Are you doing anything special for St.Patrick's day? I am Irish and live in Boston. Which you'd think required revelry but man oh man I can't stand the drunk "kids" ack. It was always a very special day for pop. He was a very very proud Irish. He wore a shamrock gold chain at all times so people KNEW, hey I'm Irish! It's our first without him. I want to honor him in a special way but I'm not sure how yet.

It's not warm enough for street photos yet? Hrmmm.
You have two very important questions in your post. One is whether to address Japan, and the other is re: St. Pat's day. They are worth addressing, but I'm going off-topic because I saw KISS last night. Yes yes, they were very good. Thinking that they are my age, or older, is stunning. How they can survive the climate and move wearing armor and stuff... just wow.
Also, I saw some very appalling makeup and dress at the concert. I didn't think of you at the concert, but now, reflecting on the difference between what I saw and MLBB, I can't help but think you are so very classy. Yes, you can do "dramatic," but you haven't fallen to anything approaching "skank". I admire you for that.
My week has been all over the place. Trying to only take things one day at a time and deal with it all as a whole later.
My St.Patrick's Days are usually "Mom Days", even though my mom's side is English pretty much all the way up the family tree - my Dad's side is Scotch-Irish. So she finds some traditional Irish recipe to try out. I am usually charged with finding a movie. And we do what we always do - pig out and watch movies and gossip. Just a change of "theme".
You'll figure out something to do. I think remembering someone special to you is a personal thing, and you'll find your own way to honor him.
For a good nude I bet I could recommend some shades for you. Do you want lipstick or gloss because I have some in mind for either.
I have Irish heritage too, but we don't do much for St. Pat's. I guess all that Italian background stifled it?
I do love all things Irish though, and we named our son with an Irish spelling.
I don't celebrate, but live and work in London, so usually see a few drunken revellers on my way home from work...and try to avoid the pub tonight of course!
