An outfit, a re-review and my cousin the hero!
My go to orange books were like WOAH today.

So I moved down the row a little.
I did something new for me and I actually preplanned my makeup last night and pulled it all out. It made things go so much faster in the morning because I didn't have to stand there and try and decide.
And one I just had to include because I look so much like my mother in it!
I have to update my intital review of the Sally Hansen polish strips. I mentioned how the very first day I had lifting up on one nail and some bubbles and creases that I couldn't smooth out. Today is Day 6 and I have not had a single lifting up problem. My pointer finger on my left hand that had come up a little, hardened and so did all the rest of my nails and not a single chip or issue in 6 days. In fact I think it would probably last a few more before regrowth became an issue. I still do not think it is worth $10 but that is because I am cheap and that seems a lot for a one time use. But if you think about it as a manicure that won't chip for a week then the price is a bit more reasonable. CVS is constantly doing coupons so this is something I would purchase again at coupon time. My nails are quite hard too after the first 24 hours it became quite solid. I no longer feared the creases and bubbles would cause it to rip. My nails normally chip like crazy because they are fragile no matter what I do. This seemed to thicken them up sort of like acrylics, but not as thick.I still find them a bit fiddly to put on and that the sizing on them is a bit goofy but with 8 to choose from and cutting some very large ones you can make it work.
See the pointer looks worn down a little. That is where it peeled up on the first day.
To be frank I am quite bored and can't wait to take them off! I am tempted to leave it to see how long it really will last. One thing worth mentioning is where it is growing our at the cuticle it leaves a rough edge that gets caught on my hair. I think a very gentle sanding as they grow would help this.
And some news. Initially this was kinda being kept on the DL (yeah I don't know how else to say it) but remember me talking about my cousin B last week? It no longer is a secret because it was on the front page of the paper today so I feel safe talking about it!! My cousin is a hero and he got the Purple Heart for his heroic measures in Afghanistan. I am not psychic nor do I think I am in the least but I have been INSANELY uneasy the past two weeks about him and I now know why. I emailed him 2 weeks ago just kinda checking up on him and I hadn't heard. He was hurt but I am so beyond delighted to say he is OK. That is all that matter. Now, I can't wait until he is home. Pop would of been SO DAMN PROUD of him. I am too. Hey guys THAT'S MY KIN!!!

I am commenting today to say that I am proud of your cousin too. When you talk to him, please thamk him for his service to our counrty. My nephew is over in Afghanastan.Hhis battalion has been featured on channel 5 all week and my nephew has been interviewed, he is a medic and I am so proud of him!

Whew! Very glad you moved a little down the aisle - the orange with the red was pretty intense! I tried to steal your "Pics in the library" thing the other week, but our shelves are WAY too close together. This week, since I won't be doing outfit pics at home, if I can pull together a decent outfit together I'll give it another try!
I think Congratulations is the wrong sentiment--but I can't think of another term. Anyway, I can imagine how proud you are and glad that he's ok. It takes a brave and honorable person to enlist and go to war, and for that I send my thanks to him (through you).
I'm kind of glad you changed your mind on the nail thingies. I'll have to see when I get a coupon, but now I'm definitely going to try them. And speaking of nails, I got my free Zoya polish and it is amazing. The polish survived working out with weights, dishes and playing fetch. Thanks for letting us know on twitter about it.

Secondly, your cousin = superhero and I'm so glad for him/you/your family that he is going to be ok. I can't tell you how glad I am to hear about soldiers who are willing to put their life on the line. My husband is currenly deployed to AF and I understand how important it is for him to be over there with other people who have their head/hearts in the right place.
