Vestage

Yeah so the vest in today's outfit photo? I would say it is the most used item in my wardrobe. What do you think? Do you have a wardrobe workhorse that you can't imagine your current clothing life without?

Don't worry it will ride up with wear.

Part two. Matchy matchy couples remix.

Day 3 of letting my husband dress me.

If Jean C'est Quoi and M.bibelot had a love child.

somehow this comment didn't come through. weird.
So here it is.

Melissa has left a new comment on your post "Vestage":

LOOOOOOVE!!!

I have one vest that I bought a month or two ago and have been at a complete loss as to how to style it. Thank you for posting these shots all together! Yay!!!

As for my wardrobe necessity, I'd have to say my belts. Absolutely my belts.

PS - I'm in love with that gorgeous purple blouse that ties at the neck. Want!

i love the vest that i have, and i keep trying to find more, but none of the ones i find seem right. maybe the one i have is just "the one" and im too stubborn to realize it.

i desperately need new pants for the coming colder weather, but i am hoping to make my dresses/skirts work for as long as possible.

Adorable vest! I haven't tried a vest lately, I keep having images of me in the late 80's/early 90's in those horrible long vests. I had one in burgundy crushed velvet. I also had a macrame vest. HORRIBLE

I would be at a total loss without black blazers. I have 7 of them and they are absolutely necessary for everything from jeans to flirty dresses. One in particular goes with half my wardrobe, it is 3/4 sleeve with a very tailored cut and no closure in a lightweight poly blend.

with good reason! That vest is SOOOO cute! I love the chain detail!

I'd say my work-horse is my bf blazer. It can make any outfit look corporate!

That vest has worked! Love all the outfits. My belts are my workhorses. I wear a belt at least 3-4 times a week.

I love the vest. It looks so unique with every outfit and really blends with whatever look you are doing. I don't think I really have a piece that can compare to the vest, but I would like one!

So many ways to wear vests! Thank you! The item I can't live without is my double-breasted khaki a-line skirt. I wish I had bought two!

I LOVE the look of the pocket watch and vest! I'm trying to convince my fiancé that it's a better wedding look than a tux, but apparently he wants to play James Bond. Sigh. I love that you turned lip gloss into a "pocket watch!"

It's a great piece, love it with the red top and houndstooth skirt. I would have to say my denim jacket is a workhorse in fall.

Thanks for the vest love everyone. I spent $30 on it in 2008 and I have so made it back. These were just the times I have photos for! (I don't take pictures everyday by any stretch)
680 outfits in 4 years so about 50% of outfits?
I'm not sure if I can pick out my workhorse - hardpressed I'd say my leather jacket just because I love it and wear it with anything regardless.

I do know I'm also a fan of vests, and you've made this one work fabulously!

Amazing how one item can look so different with different combination- you have certainly gotten creative with this vest!! Since having my blog I notice that my ol workhouse is my wide brown stretchy belt.. I dont even particularly love it, its just so versatile. But now I am aware of wearing it all the time since I am posting outfits.. good for making me hold back and try something else for a change!! Great outfit today by the way :)
