Maybelline Shine Sensational lipgloss REVIEW
Chelsea asked for more drugstore reviews. I said how I didn't buy drugstore things anymore really. Because as a whole I don't. I found that I was spending MORE money than if I went to MAC (which is the cheapest department store brand. Did you know that? Their lipstick is $14 most companies average $20) and not liking half the stuff. Once I started being pretty loyal to MAC I was saving money because I would try it in store and hate it and not buy it. YA.GET.ME?
Then I remembered I HAD bought something at a drugstore recently. Maybelline Shine Sensational lipgloss in Crazy for Caramel,

They describe it as:
"More Shine. More Luscious. More Yum.

I am very fair skinned and it is very light on me. Mostly just shine with a TISH of shimmer.

AFTER

I keep it in my purse as my "I am out in public and I want to apply something but don't have a mirror". It isn't colorful enough for me but I like it a lot for when I do very dark on my eyes.
Shine Sensational retails for $5-6 dollars depending on your area. I got mine at a buy one get one sale at CVS. I would buy another one. They feel nice and smell yummy. I would just sniff it at the store next time. No more peaches for this girl. They have 20 different color and flavors to choose from so there is probably one to please most people.
I had a hard time with the photos. I literally took 102 photos. I did them all with my good DSLR camera. I don't have a tripod right now and the lens is kinda big so I had a hard time holding it a my very short arms length. I kinda feel like I look "hey baby" in these pics. But I guess most people have a hard time looking at themselves objectively (? subjectively? which do I mean?) The photos are unaltered except they were cropped.
Have you tried a drugstore product lately you would recommend? One you would warn against?

Since you asked, I tried their Instant Age Rewind Treatment Eraser makeup (Long-ass title, but it's the foundation with the built-in sponge at the top).
I thought it would be nice for keeping in my purse or in my desk at work- all I'd have to do is give it a few clicks and sponge it on and go. The sponge at the top is supposed to be anti-microbial and the foundation itself is supposed to make you look wonderful!
In reality, the foundation is sheer and the spongy top works like one of those lip gloss pens- you turn it to get the foundation flowing, so I kept getting more that what I needed. I don't put foundation all over my face (just the strategic bits) so I figure I'll use it up quickly.
I bought the lightest shade and as it is sheer, it was a good match. With some powder you can build up the coverage, but I still needed a concealer for some dark circles and a couple of other marks. It also felt a bit greasy at times as the weather here is transitioning- if the staying power is sort of meh right now, I imagine this will be gone in no time when Summer hits. I think I'll pay a bit more for my Clinique foundation.
Also really like Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting cream. It really does hydrate as well as the super expensive creams like the ads claim. I've been using it since it's release and I love what it's done for my skin. Have oily skin and it's not too heavy, but my mom has dry skin and it's not too light for her. Just perfect!
This lip gloss sounds like how I feel about my Burts Bees lip shine. It has a pretty (citrus) scent, feels luxurious on, and can be applied sans mirror. But it does give me a bit more color (I got the zesty red) than this particular gloss shade you're showing. I'd highly recommend it, though it doesn't last very long so I find myself reapplying every few hours. Also it has SPF!
I was trying to be brave and visit the MAC counter for the first time ever a few weeks ago, but when I got close, I realized the man working there was wearing way more make up than I was. I chickened out!
