DIY Oh I like your necklace
(Everything is clickable)
I don't claim to have invented this look or even perfected it. I actually saw a DIY on Love Meagan last week where she showed people how to make a gorgeous layered necklace. So why am I doing a DIY? To show you an additional way to make it without tools or destroying your necklaces.
First I took a bunch of costume necklaces.

I stuck with similar colors (sliver and black) because I am still on the edge about mixing metals. I see it on others and like it and still highly dislike the look on myself. (sometimes I am too much a Libra for my own good)
I started wrapping the necklaces around one another and played with it until I was satisfied. I then started clipping them to one another using their own clasps. I rotated ends so they held one another. (This also means sometimes two or 3 necklaces would be held with one clasp.
Then I held the necklace up to my neck and figured out how I wanted it to lay. I pried jump rings open with my fingers and hooked them on the necklace ends and attached the clasp.

That is it!
Very simple really. This way it is completely reversible. That is kinda why I don't do more DIYs of repurposing items. I suffer from "what if" What if I want to wear that one necklace again that I haven't worn in 5 years. (bah) I also am impulsive and don't usually plan any of my DIYs ahead of time. I am a "Oh what if I " and do it right then and don't think about documenting it. I will try to document more often because I have been asked to show how I make some of my jewelry.

I almost forgot to mention the name part. My name was always hard to find on items growing up and now as an adult I buy anything I see with it spelled correctly. This was a $1 rhinestone necklace from the Christmas Tree shop. The necklace broke a long time ago. I attached it with two jump rings to one of the necklaces once the necklace was done. Kinda adds that lovely tack factor I kinda love.
One of my favorite quotes ever was said by Dolly Parton "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."
I have been MIA this past week. I hope to be back this weekend and might be MIA next week. I will let you know why when I am back.
Edited to add. I played with it a bit more...
