Beret Pattern?

I am looking for a simple crochet or knit pattern with worsted weight yarn to make a beret. Nothing complicated. Anyone know of one?

I did a search on Ravelry...they seem pretty straightforward

obviously as an active ravelry member that is the first thing I did. From the free patterns there was nothing that struck me as anything special.
I was looking for a more personal recommendation from someone with a pattern they have used successfully.

it would also help if the link were usable.
Have you looked at drops/garnstudio? There are a few there that I really want to make.

All the berets i have made so far have been based in one way or another on the 'le slouch' pattern - the less slouchy version. The pattern itself if not hugely exciting though, you really need to adapt it. https://www.deepsouthfibers.com/uploads/File/leslouchrev.pdf

On ravelry, I like the look of the meret, http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/meret-mystery-beret, I've not made one myself though.

I haven't made that one, but I had saved it in my faves.

I made this one, but in a huge, chunky yarn, so it was comically large. It might be cute in a regular yarn, and it was super easy.

Right now I am making "meret" by wooly wormhead for my sis--- it's aran weight yarn, but i'm using worsted, and I making with a regular ribbed band instead of a rolled brim (which there are instructions for in the pattern).

I'm only about 1/4 of the way done, but so far so good. The lace pattern is really pretty--- not exactly straightforward like you asked, but written in a way that it's simple and still fun to do.

I also have something else you may be interested in that i'll email to ya.
